a vivid dream with intense colour is uncharacteristic of my nights, let alone one involving fish. my room was furnished with a bed, shelves of books, cd's, and three moderate sized fish tanks. one tank was full of bulgy goldfish, another had a few plants but no animals yet, and the last had two dwarf whales in it (a gift from a nameless friend). one was a playful foot long killer whale and the other a slightly larger humpback. for some reason, the only thing they would eat was honey that i drizzled into the water. i was in the process of cleaning their tanks and looking around my room, thinking how happy i was when i woke up.
how do you interpret that? the colours were so nice and the mini whales...could you imagine having whales as pets? :) if only i could draw. someone invent a dream recording machine already!! the only ones i tend to remember are when my teeth fall out and i wake up in a panic. those are NO fun! i'm not sure if i believe dreams to mean anything, but i like thinking and talking about them. prophetic ones are the most interesting, hands down. i used to "experiment" with them when i was younger. once i realized it was a dream, i could will certain things to happen - making small objects appear, forcing myself to wake up...like first learning to manipulate the matrix. "there is no spoon." :P it took maybe a week before i was able to wake up without opening my eyes (it's kinda weird to believe that you're awake, laying there for several minutes before taking a peek to make sure.) try it! perhaps it was all that messing around that put an end to my dreaming slumbers. ah well...maybe experimenting will bring them back??
