Frickin' Idiot

it's no big deal, i'll just push the taper in halfway and let it heal for a couple weeks before putting the whole thing through. easy enough, no? this was on wednesday. today my ear lobe is super tender and swollen. ya think maybe i should have read up on this beforehand? instead of using lubrication, i used nothing. instead of stretching up by the next gauge increment, i went from a 16ga to a 10ga. it didn't hurt at the time, but now...waaa! i suppose the smart thing to do would be to see a piercer about it. only now i'll have to wait a few months for the damage i inflicted to completely heal :/
