Memoirs of a Could've-Been

it's been a little less than a year since i touched Aryn and summer 2006 seems as good a time as any to finally learn guitar. why not? since i'm too cheap to sign up for lessons, i've always adopted friends to be teachers. the only problem was the lessons lacked structure...and the sessions were irregular...oh plus the turn-over rate was madness (aaron, scott, roger, adam, doug, andre). this time around i've decided to stick to an online plan of action. it might not be the most effective route, but it'll do until chord changing comes with greater ease and my fingertips stop hurting.

then what?

well...Triple D hits the stage! that is, "duck don't die", our band of about 6 years. recently we've recruited a vocalist and there has been talk about giving our drummer the boot. maybe not quite the boot; she'll most likely remain as a go-go dancer (or a merch girl :P). it doesn't really matter that we haven't played any gigs. the early career of the sex pistols was built more on hype than on music and with the interweb at our disposal, hype is much easier to create these days. having said that, keep an eye out for DX3 on myspace.com - photoshoots and all. woo!
