tammy tied the knot yesterday. it was your typical chinese reception, only the food was slightly off and it felt more like a company dinner than a wedding. it was largely due to johnny's many rude and inappropriate comments followed by the cackles of a coworker. how would i describe the bride? well, at work she's a biatch who tries to stir shit up with everyone she doesn't like. her entire family emits a nasty snobbish attitude and she is automatically superior to anyone without post secondary education. ask her a question and the reply will be delivered with the utmost condescension...even to 75 year old patients! this girl irks the fuck out of me. as a bride, she was the sickliest one i've ever seen. needing the physical support of both the groom and her aunt to be seated, and later to cut the cake. she has low blood sugar, so you'd think someone in her situation would snack often to avoid fainting...especially at your wedding! but then again, she does like playing the victim to take advantage of people's sympathy. oh well. sheep go to heaven, goats go to hell...and if not, karma will do its thing.
afterwards i met up with deadstar, pandora, and denimshert for a girls night out. they had told me about a magician who was roaming the bar. "it's cool. he turned a canadian $5 bill into an american one, stuck a cigarette through a card, etc...you would have liked it." luckily for me, he came around a second time once i got there. the tricks were fun (especially after a couple beers) but i'm sorry to say that it wasn't as impressive as i had hoped. i do have to admit to letting out a scream when within 30 seconds of signing a card, a random guy in the club walks up to me and took it out of his mouth. hmm...and making a crumpled bill float had me grinning ear to ear...but that's about it :) i'd like to see the illusionist zoreoreo told me about. his tricks sounded a lot more extravagant and baffling. come to think of it, they both share the same first name...could it be the same person? eventually the club kicked everyone out so we hung around the corner for a bit and chatted with a couple college guys. oh, by college i meant the street. denimshert had a love connection with one of the guys, disappearing into alleys several times on our walk up bathrust from king to college. no, we didn't end up going to their place. the car was parked there, plus pandora was complaining of fatigue (as usual). i didn't drink as much as i should have, but it was still a fun night. got home at 5am and was extremely happy that balcony renovation would NOT wake me up prematurely the next morning :)
*pics will be posted once i get them from mimi*
